Day Trip to Ngamba Island- Chimpanzee Tracking

Ngamba Island chimpanzee sanctuary is one of the chimpanzee sanctuaries in Africa. It’s well surrounded by Lake Victoria, it’s home to over 50 orphaned chimpanzees that are rescued from different parts of Uganda. Get a chance to see and participate in feeding these orphaned and rescued chimpanzees.

Detailed itinerary

After having breakfast at the hotel in Entebbe, the primate safari experience guide will pick you up and takes you to Entebbe at Wildlife Education Centre to take a boat cruise to Ngamba Island.

Upon your arrival, you are to feed these chimps and you play around with them, you get a chance of spending some precious time with these endangered species. Have lunch and then drive Entebbe airport for flight back home.

Ngamba Island is the only island on lake victoria that hosts the chimpanzees and this watching activity is not like the one of Kibale forest national park or Budongo forest or kalinzu forest where the activity is either chimpanzee tracking or Habituation.
