About the Lodge
One and Only Nyungwe House is located along the edge of the ancient Nyungwe Forest in southwestern Rwanda and known to offer exclusive eco-luxury resort accommodation to travelers visiting Rwanda and are interested in Canopy walks as well as Chimpanzee Tracking.
The lodge is surrounded by verdant tea plantation as it borders one of the continent's oldest rainforests. It is widely regarded as one of the finest rainforest lodges in Africa offering guests unforgettable encounters with chimpanzees, rare primates, spectacular birdlife and breathtaking landscapes.
One & Only Nyungwe House is situated in Gisakura adjacent to Nyungwe National Park as it seats approximately 230 kilometers southwest of Kigali and can be reached by use of private road transfer i.e 5–6 hours, domestic charter flight and Helicopter transfer directly to the resort's helipad. Its location offers immediate access to one of Africa's largest protected mountain rainforests, home to remarkable biodiversity and pristine hiking trails.
