About the Lodge
Damaraland Camp is located deep in the beautiful Huab River Valley of Damaraland combing dramatic desert scenery, exceptional opportunities to encounter desert-adapted wildlife. The camp sits within a vast, unfenced landscape of ancient valleys, rocky mountains and ephemeral riverbeds through the dry river valleys, black rhinos roam the wider wilderness and Hartmann’s mountain zebras, gemsbok, springbok.
Damaraland Camp is located in the Huab River Valley found North west of Namibia's Damaraland region with rugged mountains, Granite formations, dry riverbeds, Desert plains, Volcanic rock formations, Sparse desert vegetation, Exceptional wilderness. Damaraland region covers approximately 47,990 km² supporting around 80 mammal species and roughly 650 bird species.
One of the strongest reasons to visit Damaraland is its geology with a mixture of mountains, valleys, exposed rock and dry river systems. Damaraland Camp represents more than a luxury safari property. It is part of a conservation model that helped demonstrate how tourism could support both wildlife protection and local communities.
