Kibumba Tented Camp
About the Lodge
Kibumba Tented Camp is a safari-style camp situated in Virunga National Park and serves as one of the main accommodation options for visitors interested in trekking the rare species of Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat. Other than Gorilla Trekking, travelers on hiking safari along Mount Nyiragongo Volcano, can stay here for Overnight.
The Tented Camp includes 18 traditional safari tents featuring en-suite bathrooms, hot running water, flush toilets and comfortable beds, Full-board meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), on site restaurant, a fully stocked bar and communal lounge/fire pit.
While at the camp, expect to have panoramic scenic views the Virunga volcanoes i.e Mount Mikeno, Nyiragongo, Nyamulagira and Karisimbi that are at a distance. The camp includes electricity which is supplied by the nearby hydroelectric plant with standard European two-pin power outlets.
