Mihingo Lodge

Mihingo Lodge is located atop ancient granite kopjes facing the rolling savannah of Lake Mburo National Park offering exceptional horseback safaris, eco-friendly design and intimate wildlife experiences. The lodge offers guests a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in one of East Africa's most scenic landscapes.

Mihingo Lodge is situated on a rocky outcrop adjacent to the Park in southwestern Uganda requiring travelers to transfer for four-hours from Kampala and about three to four hours from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Its elevated position offers panoramic views across valleys, acacia woodlands, seasonal waterholes and open grasslands where wildlife roam freely.

The lodge faces a natural waterhole that usually attracts zebras, buffaloes, impalas, elands, warthogs, bushbucks and many bird species. Lucky guests may even spot leopards or the resident klipspringers that inhabit the surrounding granite rocks.

At the lodge are 12 luxury tented rooms each individually positioned to maximize privacy and stunning views. These are unique in their own way i.e some are nestled among trees, others overlook the waterhole and others are built into dramatic granite boulders.

They feature En-suite bathrooms, Hot and cold running water, Flush toilets, Solar-powered hot water systems, Comfortable king or twin beds, Private verandas, elegant African-inspired décor, Large windows opening onto the surrounding wilderness. They include natural materials i.e olive wood, stone, papyrus and canvas are incorporated throughout the lodge, creating an authentic safari atmosphere without compromising comfort.
