About the Lodge
Mikongo Forest Lodge is located deep within the forests surrounding Lopé National Park offering immersive experiences in one of Central Africa's oldest rainforests where wildlife, conservation and local culture take center stage. The Lodge is situated near the Mikongo village about 43 kilometers from Lopé, serving as a gateway to pristine tropical forests inhabited by forest elephants, gorillas, chimpanzees, monkeys, rare birds and hundreds of plant species.
Mikongo Forest Lodge lies within the buffer zone of Lopé National Park known to have the ancient rainforest and open savannah that is ideal ecotourism. The National Park consists of dense equatorial rainforest, Crystal-clear rivers and streams, forest trails, Rocky viewpoints overlooking the canopy
