Primate Safari Booking & and Cancellation Policy

This is a contract form between the Traveler (Herein referred to as the “Client /Customer”) and the Primate Safari Experiences(u) Limited  ( herein referred to as the Tour Operator) for an adventure in Africa. well as this is guided by the Ugandan Laws in relation to corporate bodies like the Association of Tour Operators, Uganda Tourism Board, Ministry of Tourism & Uganda Wildlife Authority.

The Operator offers primate Safaris in different countries: Rwanda Uganda, Kenya, DR Congo, Madagascar, Uganda and other African Countries that are hosting primates, Wildlife & Mountaineering tours with the aid of third party corporate bodies/ agencies.

1. How to Select your Trip by the travelers

Our reservation team will email you a brochure of the available trips and you will send us a tailor-made plan after which a quotation will be sent to you through our official channels ( info@primatesafaris.com)or by WhatsApp via +256392159498. upon approval, the reservation has to be made.

2.  Client Category

  • Adults: An adult can book, Cancel and Apply for his or her trip since he /she has the capacity to contract as per the Ugandan Law.
  • Children: Since they are below 18 years lack the capacity to contract as per Ugandan laws. Therefore the legal parent or the legal guardian should apply,  book  & cancel on their behalf.

3. Documents Required for your Booking

The Client will email the operator the following documents including Valid Passport Details, Travel Details, their contact number, Emergency contact details and next of  Kin Details( Name, Email & Telephone)  during your Time of Travel.

4. Commitment fees

Upon Reservation, an invoice will be sent inclusive of VAT and a deposit of 30% should be paid. Please note the deposit is nonrefundable in case of cancellation of the trip.

5. Our Payment Channels

Please Note, We have two payment channels

  • Electronic funds transfer (EFT) for our Uganda Bank Account ( we don’t have any other bank account in any other country) beware of a fraudster
  • Use of Credit Card. this can be through the online payment channel at an extra cost of 3.5% of the total payment to be made.

Please be informed you should have completed payments 3 weeks prior to the commencement of the trip.

Trip Alternations & Cancellation

The Operator may offer a free trip change in terms of Dates of Departure, hotels, Guide at no extra cost unless there are extra expenses incurred or required like the gorilla permits, chimpanzee permits plus any additional costs incurred will be charged if a confirmed booking is changed or transferred.

If it becomes necessary for the client to cancel your holiday, you must notify the operator immediately by email info@primatesafaris.com and cancellation will take effect upon receipt of the message by the operator and respond to the client.

Note: An initial deposit of 30% of the total with your booking is not refundable that is Money for the gorilla permits, Golden monkey permit, Chimpanzee permits, and hotel deposits however we do have as the cancellation terms for clients that booked with the Operator depending on the number of days left before the tour departure.

  • 60 -100 days 10% off  safari Cost
  • 59 – 32 days 25% off safari Cost
  • 31 – 8 days 50% off safari Cost
  • 7 – 3 days 75% off safari Cost
  • 48 hours or less prior to arrival 100% tour cost

The Operator offers no refund for any unused services, late arrival or no show of any of the members of the tour group for the primate in Africa.

Safari Insurance

The Operator strongly recommends that you take out travel insurance including health and cancellation insurances and accident insurance! since the operator reserves the right to cancel tours at any time with a clear reason to the client for the cancellation of the Safari and return all monies paid or offer an alternative tour for that particular Destination.

Note: The Operator will not be liable for any penalty charges associated with connecting airfares, in the event of a change to a tour departure time, date or cancellation.

Complaints

In the unlikely event that a client has a complaint about any of the travel arrangements, they must advise the Operator’s reservation team via Email or via phone call and the team will work tiresomely to solve the problem and attain the best service.
