About the Lodge
Ruzizi Tented Lodge is located along the stunning shores of Lake Ihema in Akagera National Park and a famous eco-lodges combining luxury, sustainability, and authentic wilderness experiences. Ruzizi Tented Lodge has been designed to blend seamlessly into its natural surroundings allowing guests to experience Africa's wilderness while enjoying modern comforts.
Ruzizi Tented Lodge was opened in 2012 as the first luxury tented camp within Akagera National Park offering safari accommodation to travelers, nature adventures to enthusiasts, photographers, honeymooners and wildlife lovers from around the world.
The lodge is situated approximately 15 minutes inside Akagera National Park's southern entrance (Giraffe Gate) and around 2.5 hours by road from Kigali, Rwanda's capital city. While at the lodge, you shall watch Hippos grazing near the shoreline, Crocodiles basking in the sun, Vervet monkeys and baboons, Bushbuck and impala, Numerous bird species.
Ruzizi Tented Lodge includes 9 en-suite tented rooms that accommodate a maximum of about 20 guests ensuring personalized service and privacy.
These include Seven classic luxury safari tents, One honeymoon tree-top tent, One family tent suitable for parents with children.
